Elementary Program

The Acaciawood School Elementary program reflects the school motto, “Strong in Character, High in Standard.” Teachers in the elementary department are certified in education. All are trained in teaching methods and practices that are time-tested and research-based and which have proven to be effective and successful. The curriculum core consists of the following subjects:

• Study Habits and Citizenship – becoming persons of character.
• Reading Program – developing an avid reader.
• Language Arts – learning to write by writing.
• Math – becoming an active learner.
• Science and Social Studies – stimulating curiosity to explore the world around us.

In addition, the following supplemental programs enhance our core curriculum:

• Music – providing music for communication and expression.
• Physical Education – being active for good health.
